Disclaimer for face mask (N95)

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) does not recommend that the general public wear N95 respirators to protect themselves from respiratory diseases, including coronavirus (COVID-19). Those are critical supplies that must continue to be reserved for health care workers and other medical first responders, as recommended by current CDC guidance.

According to FDA surgical N95 masks are not intended to be used more than once. If your mask is damaged or soiled, or if breathing through the mask becomes difficult, you should remove the face mask, discard it safely, and replace it with a new one. To safely discard your mask, place it in a plastic bag and put it in the trash. Wash your hands after handling the used mask.

The 'N95' designation means that when subjected to careful testing, the respirator blocks at least 95 percent of very small (0.3 micron) test particles. If properly fitted, the filtration capabilities of N95 respirators exceed those of face masks. However, even a properly fitted N95 respirator does not completely eliminate the risk of illness or death.

You also acknowledge and agree that under no circumstances shall Canopus Group LLC, any guests or any employees or associates or shareholders or affiliates of Canopus Group LLC be responsible for the damages arising from the use of N95 masks or washing and reusing of the N95 masks.

Relevant certificates and registrations for the N95 mask are attached below. Canopus Group LLC is not responsible for any manufacturing defects that might occur, go unnoticed and might compromise the protection of the mask. By purchasing a mask from Canopus Group LLC, the consumer agrees that all liability regarding the inspection of the actual mask and review of the required certificates are solely the responsibility of the consumer. Consumer also agrees that the distribution of these masks by the purchaser also conveys the aforementioned liabilities to the purchaser. Purchaser should distribute these masks at his/her own risk.
